KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday arrested a suspect involved in child pornography after registering a case against him.
The FIA Cybercrime Circle registered the first case involving child pornography on a complaint lodged by a citizen,Khalid and subsequently nabbed accused Hamza from a Karachi neighbourhood.
According to a FIA spokesperson, the accused was involved in sexually harassing children by uploading their immoral pictures and videos on the internet. He is also accused of blackmailing children to extort money.
Objectionable photos and videos were seized from the possession of the accused. During his interrogation, about 10 victim children aging between 10 and 13 came to surface, said the FIA spokesperson.
He said efforts are underway to arrest other accused involved in such felony following information provided by the arrested accused.
